Been going on for months now, I am TPS but still get them . I refuse to press 2 and get ripped off.
Conatacted my provider TALKTALK and got this reply, thinking of changing to someone else, why should I pay £3 25 to be rid of this scum. Seems to me providers enjoy this more money to them.

Thank you for your recent query regarding nuisance calls
We have checked the number provided and the frequency of calls received on your line. Due to the low frequency of calls received from this number, this cannot be classified as a nuisance call. Therefore we are unable to assign any blocks against the offending number.
For a call to be considered a nuisance call and a block applied, it has to meet a strict criteria. Firstly we look at the amount of calls delivered to a customer CLI. If we see 10 or above calls from the same source number within a 7 day period, we may look to block. However we then need to consider, the type of call, because the blocks we apply against a source number are at network level, we cannot apply blocks to personal numbers.
The reason for this, is because blocking a number blocks it from calling our entire customer base, which means if the owner of the source number has family who are TalkTalk customers, they wouldn't be able to call them either.
We are also unable to block financial institutions or debt collection agencies, this is due to the fact within T's and C's of your bank, you would have agreed to receive occasional calls. Debt collection agencies are entitled to contact people that owe money, however if they are harassing, they can be reported to the Financial Ombudsman, as they are bound by strict processes.
We are also unable to block calls from our call centres, if you wish to opt out of marketing calls. you are able to change your marketing preferences in your "My account" section of our website.
We offer a service called last number barring, this allows you to block up to 10 numbers on an individual basis. This service is charged at £3.25 per month and you can activate this from the my account section on our main website
