these rings are very annoy. we informed that college stuff to take our no. off their phoning directory & we consistently get rings with 'em just like this.

got a ring at 7:20am. As We are writing the no. down to report them, the msg cut off (after three repeats). soon as we rang the no. back to get the msg We are informed "the party you're phoning was not picking up, please ring again. " There was snow earlier today however classes will keep on as usual. . therefore what is the emergency to wake us at 7:20am?

this might be, cos we had three telephone rings this afternoon, however, we had a sms msg with the New York Alert email.

these people just rang us 3 times in about ten seconds & didnt pass on a msg any of those times. How irritating!

just checked our email, the no. was related to NY/Alert, doing a system test with Alfred State College. There now we know, wish this helps some one else.

just had three rings in five minutes, with 518-292-6634 & 518-292-6644 on our mobile. rang back on our land line & the recorded message stated we got to confirm our no., thens tells us we did not get any ring. whats is up with that???

got 4 rings early in the afternoon on a Sunday. ones 1st instinct at that hour was that some thing was wrong. No msgs were left. soon as we rang back both no.s used to dial me, this stated "this telephone number has been cut off. " In this day & age, who needs this fright? Thank goodness for search engine & the ability to find out who this number belonged to. i am phoning our local state representative to look into this.

soon as we had a ring with 518-292-6634 this is a test ring with the university alert system with our college. & we did sign up for the alert system, it is not spam.

had this no. 7 times in 2 hours -- exactly what was the no. to opt out of this service?

okay, earlier today 12/21/09 we notice our vm got this msg, we rang & provided our no. these people rang back however accidently, as We are listening to msg, we pressed the incorrect button & we put the phone down. wish it is not a nightmare just like others. I will see.

we had 22 rings on a Saturday with 7am to 1pm each time we answered, no answer. we ring back we enter our ten digits & nothing. twenty mins on the phone line & nothing. this still keeps on phoning & the kick was We are not a student nor have we ever been one at a state school! Can you say harassment & law suit?

some type of automated alert to school lockdown somebody with a gun,and this states it is just a test,continues to call,3/4 times in a row,sometimes puts the phone down when you do not reply this. Will report to local police department

This was a emergency alert for Mercy college. we guess these people are usiing the identical alert system as SUNY NY. Just reply b/c these people wil not quit phoning & this will make u press a no. to hear the msg. this informed us this is a test.
