this no. has called twicw now looking for Mr N Petfield stating this was Barclaycard scam prevention. We are not that individual & We are annoyed at getting these calla

got several rings with this no. earlier today proclaiming to be with Barclaycard scam Protection Department. we attempted to check it is validity with BT & these people informed us this is most likely fine & suggested we check our bill overnight making use of "call our bill" on 0800 054 608. As we did press any key to keep on with the call,I couldnt get rid of the ring off the line & got to delete the telephone line with the socket & disconnect the phone's with the mains before this would clear the line.

five recorded (?) rings with this no. All claim to be Barclaycard scam Protection. when this was Barclaycard these people want 'advising'. Personally we believe this was a con!

This was a GENUINE ring with Barclaycard. . to check on possible fraud.

This will be a insurance sales tactic, most likely nothing to do with barclaycard. 30-mins later we had the dept recovery auto-rubbish as well. most likely with the identical people. . a Ex list no. does not help much soon as shops, tyre fitters, web sales etc, all need ur telephone no. for their records. subsequently these people "sell this on" to dodgy ring centres. Bah Humbug

This was a genuine ring with Barclaycard. these people say that wont ask for ur card info however only ur date of birth cos these people grasp ppl are cautious!. our card has been compromised!:(

See previous msg. Despite clearing this by speaking to Barclaycard's scam prevention service, we kept to get rings (2 in two hours). therefore we rang the 0845 no. & went thru the Barclaycard IVR system (quite a good experience actually), to authorise a bunch more transactions. . we wish that is this tho. we very do not want it to become a repeated event.

we have just got one of these rings & have just called Barclaycards customer services. supposedly this was genuine & these people do this randomly!. ring 'em on 0800 400100 when you wanna check

got 3 rings with this no. the other day & 2 this afternoon. this was genuine & we responded (cautiously) to the 1st 2. both times there is nothing incorrect with our account. Their trial obviously is not working really well!

had atleast one & most likely 4 rings earlier today (messages on 1571) proclaiming to be Barclaycard & looking us to call that no. about fraud. we called Barclaycard on the no. these people directory on the statement & these people stated that no, these people got not called me, there was nothing noted on our card.

i have just got one of these too, & put down the telephone as anybody remotely security conscious would do. i have rang Barclaycard back on their 0800 no. & these people needed to verify a search engine Checkout transaction. we did make this abundantly clear to the security adviser that We are not glad with this system & this is only a matter of time before a fraudster adopted exactly the identical pitch, & our account has now been flagged as not getting the recorded calls.

rang us earlier today 23/11/2009 with a blocked without stating that this Barclaycard, we had a ring & subsequently rang back soon after ten minutes of the 0845 4,019,125 times stating that this is Barclaycard, we had the ring. we dont HAVE Barclaycard

As seen with Barclaycard,. however we have no Barclaycard, & our name was not MS C Beard .

This was definately Barclaycard Fraud.

Just got a recorded voice saying this was scam prevention with barclaycard for " inserted name" press any key to continue. Pressed off.
