keep on receiving rings with this no. it is a recorded message stating it is a msg for a individual (not me) & when We are not that individual to hangup. rang the no. however this states it is cut off

these people rang us the other day & earlier today at exactly 11:30 AM ET. we rang back with blocking our no. & some man finally picked up. we cannot imagine exactly what debt we have & when we do we would recognise about this by getting letter with collections first. . Can anybody confirm whether this was just some scam?
