ring with a fake sounding operator, & cheezy elevator music. We are hoping to speak to a "representative", however is on hold for too long.

we had a voice msg with 1-800-663-6175. Their recorded message said our card is returned, & We are given a reference no. we rang AMEX & these people got no info on our card replacement. these people informed us AMEX never ever give reference no.s. subsequently we rang the above no. & realized this was aways the identical individual reply the phone. surely a con.

got a ring with 1-800-663-6175 proclaiming that our AMEX card had returned. these people needed to get our SS no. & birthdate. we wised up & declined giving 'em the info.

This outfit does sound bogus, however we rang 800 AXP 1000 (which was the official Amex no. printed on our card, & these people proclaimed this is with their "remail" unit.

we got a ring with 1-800-663-6175, claing to be a AMEX customer service. The whole thing seemed bogus, & played the cheesy elevator music & a really unprofessional "customer service representative". these people never ever requested for personel information, however we informed 'em we never ever applied for a AMEX, & these people switched gears & began back-peddling, that somebody has our identical name. however one mail was different. even though these people rang our home no. this was definately a scam!! Beware!!

got a VM with -- 800-663-6175 stating we got a small business card that has been returned & we believed this is a con. we rang the 800 no. on our AMEX business card & low & behold, our card is returned & these people forwarded us to the remail department we would not ring the no. above directly, however this may be a legit msg, therefore check this out on the regular 800 no. on ur card first.

our parents had this ring. our dad provided us the no. & referance no. We are extremely skeptical however rang anyway. this "sounded" legit, & all he requested for is our last four & our year of birth. we never ever got a American Express card however. . we provided his our work address (as our new house address) & am gonna see when our "card" shows up in the letter in a couple days or when this was all a bunch of shenanigans. I will post here again when we figure out definitively when it is a con or legitimate.

Being that these people got our nickname, not our actual legal name, We are skeptical. we rang the no. on the back of our actual AMEX card. The real representative stated that there was no such no. for AMEX in their database. these people have alerted scam PREVENTION. dont ring THIS no.. this was a con.

we rang Amex & these people stated it is not in the list. However, she got notes in our account that reflected the chat we got soon as we rang back the no., therefore we believe this was legitimate. these people did not ask for our social, just needed to verify our address to remail a replacement card (mine expires soon).

got ring saying American Express card is returned & wanted to be resent. Let ref number. we do not have a American Express card.

these people rang us & proclaimed these people were with American Express. these people stated these people sent us a cc that came back returned. these people requested us for the year of our birth date & the last no.s of our social security no. we hesitated soon as we provided 'em the info. The last 4 digits of our social security no. was useless without the other no.s. we will be phoning our credit protection to confirm this.

The voice msg that is ended up leaving for us is reportedly with American Express. our name is not mentioned in the voice msg. The voice msg indicated that "Joyce Lagenni's (sp. ?) renewal. . small business card has been returned. . call800-663-6175 to arrange remailing of the card. . reference no. 11100211. ". got a ring with 1-800-663-6175. Their recorded message accurately said our name, & stated our AMEX card is found. The recorded voice provided the telephone no. & reference no. we logged into our AMEX account & all is fine. subsequently we found this website. surely a phishing con.
