The system only requested us to confirm our salt 4 no.s of our SSN however nothing else. we verified this with our bank & these people are a legit scam Protection firm.

" 1st of all, we have not used our VISA card in quite some time. we searched for the no. & had this website & the many comments. we do not give out ANY details on the telephone. when VISA wants information, these people can write us. Beware of this no. (Also ended up leaving a no. of 1-800-437-9392 & requested us to really get in touch with 'em at that number)

Rec'd a call from this number 800-890-5097. I thought this was a scam, but it's NOT. It's a recorded call, checking fraud on your credit or debit card and asking you to verify that you are you and enter in the last 4 of your social for verification. … I hung up and called my bank instead.

At first, my bank said they didn't know why someone was calling me re: fraud and commended me on not giving out my info. Because I know I DID have some unusual purchases in the last 48 hours, I called back directly on the 800 number. They don't give a company name and they ask for verification of your phone number, etc. I didn't enter any personal info and waited until I could speak with a person. After speaking with a live rep, I verified that THEY ARE LEGIT. They knew of transactions the bank wasn't yet showing in their system because they happened last night and today.

I had tried to purchase something online a few hours ago and I didn't know why it was denied. The rep, as she was reading to me the things they approved, mentioned the charge from today and said they denied it because they put a hold on my account until they could verify with me. She then removed my account hold and it is working fine now.

After speaking with her, I called the bank and gave them the name and number of the company. The bank representative verified the company is legit and is the one they use for fraud protection. She said that their reporting system has been delayed by 24 hours lately and she doesn't know why. This is why the bank had no idea there was a hold on my acct and couldn't verify why this company would be calling me. Turns out, she will contact them and try to get their systems coordinated again.

This call was legitimately fraud protection.
